Four the Hard Way

Ok, so I went with a little harder shot this time. The set up is wicked easy, so it at least has that much going for it! Actually, it is a pretty shot when it goes. The 1 and 2 ball are frozen near the side pocket, parallel with the long rail. You will be hitting the left side of the one, which throws the 2 ball in the corner... trust me. The 3 ball is a balls width away from the long rail on the first diamond line. The 4 ball is frozen to the 3 ball aiming directly into the lower corner pocket. I know, it seems like you'd need to set this combination up for the throw also, but you'll find more often than not it will not throw.

The cue ball is ball in hand behind the third diamond line. You should place it as close to the rail as possible, but still be able to get maximum right hand english. When I say maximum english, I mean WAY to the right, WAY beyond your standard one tip from center... these are trick shots, so the rules don't apply!!! Now, the aim point on the one is the tough part. This is what makes this shot so hard. You can be off by the smallest amount and you won't make the shot. Really, even if you step up and hit this shot the first time, doesn't mean you'll make it the second. You really need to practice this shot a lot to make it consistently - then it's like cake! If your cue ball hits the long rail to far before the 3-4 combo, hit the 1 ball a little thinner, if the cue ball smacks right into the 3-4 combo or hits below the combo, hit the 1 ball a little thicker. Good Luck!!
