I don't think I've told you guys, but I love being who I am! I get to meet some of the best people! And sometimes the worst, but hey.. gotta' take the good with the bad! People think pool halls are scary places.. they aren't!! Because I practice in a public pool hall, on the front table, people come up to me all the time, here are some of the people I've meet through playing pool (that aren't pro players!):
Jeff Hardy... no lie, didn't know who he was and he told me him and his brother wrestle... I asked if they write detectve stories too.. he cracked up and said no one has dared to say that to him in ten years, leave it to me! Great guy, we met cause we were wearing the same nail polish and I had to say something. Then people started to recognize him- I had no idea. And get this, we started to talk about pool and he knew what a massé was... awsome dude!!
Texas and Michigan. No not the states!! They are these two Navy guys, I'm bad with names so I just started calling them by the states they were from and it stuck. These guys are a blast. Pretty good pool players too! Texas saves me every Sunday from bordom by coming in and playing a ton of country on the juke box... it sends the league players into a tizzy, fun to watch!
Plummer Wayne!! This guy comes in, plays cheap, and then let me take his jump cue with me to Worlds!! Seriously, what a guy.
The brothers. Jack, Jesse, and Joe. Funniest guys in town, when they're in town! Walk and talk big.... but... lol
John Lee from Vegas.. that boy can shoot!! I talk to him almost every day still, his adventures are never ending!
The Asians. I know, that's bad, but I don't know any of their names and they come in late to shoot, a big group of them! At first, they were standoffish, but ever since I showed one of the young ones how to massé- nice as get out!
Bob- the young Bruce Springstein look-a-like. I added him in because his humor wass so unexpected it caught me off guard, and not many can do that!!
The Radio Guys. Ok so just now these two radio guys from next door come in to use the ATM. Funny.. they do this talk radio show in the afternoons.. AM 590, WROW. Baldwin said I don't look the type to listen to talk radio... mmmmm I should have asked what I do look like then!! LOL What's that saying about assume??? Oh, yeah... thats fine! They were smart, quick, and spoke well- can't wait to check out their show today... I'll tell you if they're any good!
Hayner. Young kid, learns quick, funny as shit, has been through more then peope twice my age, and he's the only person I know that can give to Frank as good as Frank gives!!
Every day I meet someone new... it doesn't get any better than this!!!!!
